Speed Modeling Regulations & Direction
Speed Modeling Forum General Who are you competing against ? Yourself. These challenges are for your benefit, what you choose to make out of them is up to you. It is entirely your choice how you want to structure your workflow, place detail or decide the amount of tri's you want to use ! Who is on your team ? Everybody else. This is a learning challenge and isn't a competition against others, quite the opposite. The goal here is to create your own piece and then learn from others, what did you do well, what can you improve on? By working on the same piece at the same time you'll be able to discuss it together, for example, where did you start or did you use any specific modifiers, functions or tools? Rules A Speed Modeling challenge will be opened when a new thread goes up for a real life piece or detailed concept image, references will be provided. Artists participating:

So 60 minutes for the entire scene? How about 60 mins for modeling and we're free to use how long we want to texture/render? Opens some doors for various a bit more complex themes. For example high poly watches or such.

I disagree, because if we have all the time we want to texture/render than there is no point in rushing the modeling because the whole point is working underpressure or working in a short time period. No offence but bad idea. I understand what you mean tho.
Sincerly, Andy |
