Pankake's sketchbook. xoxoxo

Figured it was about time I got one, so I will dump all the randomness I'm working on in here.

Here's a D0g model I'm working on in bits and pieces, he's a bit more stylised than the original HL2 D0g, some parts exaggerated. Massive torso and arms, tiny legs, etc.
When he's done he'll have loads of cables and cable ties running around him, weaving through all his junky bodyparts.

High poly so far:

Latest bit worked on:

So I recently started a little mod project to work on while I'm currently jobless :P. Temporarily named "Unreal Dodgeball". Which I'm making the Environment for now.

I won't show the env in it's current state as it's still pretty early, but it's coming along.

I will show a prop that I've last finished:

And chucked ingame:

PS. Dennis, you may recognise the design .

May have seen this on Glynn's sketchbook thread, it's just the concept I did for the Dodgeball itself.

Anywhoo. That'll do for now, will keep this updated if and when I feel like it.

Aaron.

Unreal Dodgeball! I was thinking the other day that a dodgeball mod would be fun to make . Looks like you're off to a good start, best of luck!

I thought I'd update my sketchbook with some of the Unreal Dodgeball stuff.

This is the workings if the first arena where the game takes place, right now, working on a derelict warehouse environmnet that will surround the Dodgeball court. The idea is that the sport is kind of underground, and all the techy equpiment has been hidden away from the powlice in this delapidated building.

Tiros has been kind enough to help me out with this area including the handrails and pipes and the little round lights that hang from the steelwork.

The lighting might see a little rework when I get the windows in, which will be blocking half of the sunlight.

To give you some more insight into what the final scene should look like here are some concepts done by my good friend Mike Brainard:

This is really starting to come together Pank, like I said earlier, love the mood you have in the place.

I'm not really convinced by the concrete destruction though. I'm not sure if they're decals or just textured on the diffuse. But if they're in the diffuse then i'd avoid having them on the edges of those pillars. It's way to obvious that it's textured damage, only by adding real chipped geometry will it look really convincing i think...

but either way, very interested to see where this will go
