Sketchbook: Mark Damico

Playing around creating alpha textures to use in Projection Master in Zbrush. Then baked my AO and Normal Maps in xNormal. Diffuse created in Photoshop. Some viewport shots in Max using Xoliul's shader and one in Marmoset.

What kind of texture is that? I can't tell if it's organic, stone or ground!

Kinda looks like the table cloth from my old student flat! :P Cool for a mess around tho, Zbrush can be a harsh mistress only way to tame her is practise.

It's really me just playing around learning projection master then baking out a quick AO and Normal then throwing on a quick diffuse. I messed around till I thought it was cool.

Did a quick sketch using Stefan Morrel’s method of using mask by alpha in Zbrush to get a good base start on creating high polygon work. Baked out an AO and Normal Map in xNormal and then played a bit in Marmoset.

Marmoset is a toolset released by 8 Monkey Labs. It's a great lightweight app for displaying your models w/o the fuss of a huge install that you get from Unreal or Crytek. Check it out. Everything you need can be found here... Marmoset Toolbag Released - MEGA THREAD - Polycount

that one looks better, but the cracks have the exact same color that the surfaces have. You should fix that in your colormap.
