Ben's Sketchbook

I thought I would start a sketchbook to motivate me to start some new stuff

I'm working to tight restrictions at work all day, so this will mainly be hi res Zbrush doodles and smaller projects I can pick away at in my spare time. C&C very welcome

This was already posted in the wip forum, but I'll use it to kick off my sketchbook

cheers guys

I recently spoke with one of my favorite concept artists Luis Nessi. He was happy for me to model out some of his stuff. His work is ridiculous....

luness' sketchbook - graphite & wacom - ConceptArt.org Forums

So I started today with a basic base for sculpting. This is a heavily modified version of the AnatomyTools.com basemesh which you can get here

Not being a character modeler, I can't really crit.

However, I do like your style of work. Keep it coming!

Looking great ben as usual. One thing though. Speaking from someone who has worn glasses for like ever I cant help but imagine that those metal rings on the goggles would be super annoying. I hated the small little rubber things on my nose. Metal rings on the top would be terribly uncomfortable I imagine.

It dose look cool so that might be fine, just saying. Loving the rest of the face though.

yeah I didnt really think too much about those nose parts

They would hurt like hell but sometimes you have to suffer for fashion, that's what Glynn keeps telling me

Another hour or so sculpting today. I'm going to call this guy done soon I think as I want to move onto something else...
