Tank concept:

This next one is a color sketch, about 20 minutes into it.

I'm trying to make it sort of modular. I'm wanting to know, does this building look like some of the external features (the garage, tower, entrance, etc) look like they have extruded out?

Like the building is one piece all together, but the wall to the tower and the garage were once inside the building and then were pushed out with hydraulics or something?

Like a motor home that opens up in some places to allow more room.

I'm interested in how I could make that more believable?

yes the features look like they have been extruded and i noticed that you're very good with creating environments, buildings ETC... you should really take some time and learn modeling cause i think you would make a great environment artist

Ha, thanks, I'd really love to; but I've tried really hard, and it just doesn't work for me. I really can just not work with 3d programs at all--they are so...not me, but I'd still LOVE to learn.

Here's a Native American I did today. I am part Cherokee, and I was brought up to speak Tsalagi and utilize Cherokee traditions -- but I've never really did anything to commemorate that part of my life, so here it is! I call him Do'tsu'wa, which means Red Bird.

I'm working on my entry for the CGChallenge, B-Movie. It's a giant grub thing coming out of the ground in a 1940's era downtown city.

I'm recording the entire progress and making a series of videos for my Youtube art channel, so I'll be a postin' videos on there as I finish them.

Back from the dead...

Well it's been a super long ass time since I've been here. I took a much needed sabbatical away from art in general. I was getting to where I hated working and drawing and painting, so I knew something wasn't right. But anyhow, lately I've been breaking back into it. Here's a little mech drawing I did yesterday at work:

Started modeling this 2010 Camaro, post-apocalyptic style. I was very inspired by the the car that was featured on the top page here recently.

Almost done Roll cage and motor:

Ah-ha! Look at you modeling when you said you couldn't I've always been a fan of your 2d, and your Camaro is looking very promising. Some great vehicle artists here, so don't hesitate to ask them for pointers. Keep it up!
