when doing simple things like planes I just use the projection modifier,make sure your hi-res is included in the modifier & also that projection is being used in the RTT

It's cool to see this kind of stuff up close and be able to talk to you while about it.
The thing I wonder about most in such a project: isn't the workload just too much for a single person? The modelling seems a fair bit of work on its own, and you must have some sort of sketch so you don't create aimlessly (I know this is something that can really slow me down personally) ? And how do you go about UV'ing so much geometry detail ? And organizing / creating the materials for so many objects, isn't that a huge chore ? Also, how much of this is postwork in Photoshop and what kind of renderpasses do you use for that ?
