Jimi..I agree about that bin,I plan to make a new one soon

here's some textures made from the high res model from yesterday
I'll probably go with the yellow one, rendered here at 1024x... I'm going to crop a quarter of the texture for the final map.

It looks interesting. I like the third the most. What's it for?

it's a floor section for a sci-fi bridge/walkway,working on the rest of the bridge now,
it's being made for a sci-fi cryengine2 mod I'm doing in my spare time

started the day with some concepts
spent about an hour on each one

The first ship design looks ace. Reminds me a little of one of Sparth's paintings, almost - in a good way.

Absolutely love the metal plate flooring. Any chance of a wire of your low poly geo?

Wow, I didn't know you were such a skilled painter, Stefan!
Care to lend some insight in how you created these ?

dope work with the concepts, like glynn said, reminds me of sparth/vyle style painting. did you use many custom brushes for it or is it all just hand painted shapes?

thanks guys,I usualy use brushes based around industrial type shapes so the sparth look probably comes from that.

here's an industrial air conditioner I made today,I've been wanting to make some more of these for various projects, the clean & bold color look is inspired by Mirrors Edge which looks pretty sweet!
I modeled the hi-res mostly with floaters & baked out a normal map from that in max..colored it up in Photoshop & then made another normal based on a height map made from the color map, mostly for edge scratches & stickers, then blended them both in crazybump
polycount is 160 tris,I was aiming for 300 but ran out of things to add :\
512X maps

Cheers
3dsmax screen grab

wires..

& the maps, shown here at half size, the original working size is 2048x
