Hoorray, I got a city texture set finished now! It's got total 394 textures (including all colour, bump, gloss and glow textures), well maybe just the doors could have some keyholes drawn into them..

And here's an initial concept for a disc launcher:

Would it be better to do windows from map geometry and not drawn into textures. This way I would be able to have more different textures in less time... Just saving all those wall/window textures to png files took over 5 hours.. I think I still could have some one or two windows drawed into the wall texture for buildings that are so far away that player never gets close to them.

Some more building tests...

A 4 storey building made with using patches on the curved windows, they really made it slow down a lot:

A 10 storey building without patches, I only got some weird lighting artifacts, but not very visible from this distance, the windows aren't just a texture slapped into a polygon:

Here's some more windows. I think they're finished now. Well.. I didn't do glowing, blinds or curtains in them yet. I do them when I have a need for such. I made dark frames & scratchy glass and light frames & smooth glass versions.

Made the doors a completely separate texture, just like the windows. Here's one of them:

Soon I can start making some new wall, floor, ceiling, roof textures or maybe a new higher resolution skybox, maybe something orange.

I decided I continue my chainsaw gauntlets that I made for the speed modeling contest. I added a handle which is equipped with a safety trigger and chain/blade movement speed button. I think the handle can be bend down when the user needs to use some other things with the hand.

The green polygon is an energy level display. The gauntlets have two speeds, high and low. The high speed will use more energy because it spins the blade too. If it's used a lot without any breaks, the chain/blade movement speed will decrease very much. It will self recharge and always maintain some energy...

It got 2438 polygons and 1413 vertices (not counting my reference arm).

I think I used a lot more time doing these addons than I used to do the initial model for the speed modeling contest...

I think I've completed the doors now, total 60 variations (inside, outside, with/out glass, dirty):

imho the buildings could still use some more detail
but never mind if you just meant to show of the textures you made. those looked pretty good imho
what are you going to use them for?

Yea, just for showing and testing the textures. I think a building "should" have at least 2 different materials. Like this building I'm living in has this kind of line block material for the front and back, beige bricks at the sides and brown bricks at the front bottom and near the doors and some little amount of metal plates to hide some ugly stuff.
