I modelled some textures.. the colour in it is just slapped over the rendering. Just wanted to test how it might look like. I'm going to model some more of those bigger wall sections later.

Some more.. I think that's all of them.. and I didn't delete the grid versions. I just place the grid in paint shop pro.

Great work man! I really like the simple, but strong style you have. The normal and specular in the previous page is also really nice. Keep it up.

I decided that I'll draw heightmaps and make the normal maps from them. Modeling the elements of the texture into a grid, just was too time consuming. And if they're in grid, then it's easier to colour & mask different areas.. and easier to use the textures in a level editor.

Well, so far I've only done a test shape for the texture, and the metal material. Though, the metal is a bit too clean.. at least if I'm going to make it some outdoor metal. But I like this clean one too. I think the outdoor one should have some rust and slime or some plant growth.

Testing textures together and doing some level design practice.. maybe I will shape it into a real level.

The greyer metal parts could be different metal material. Well, I've been doing more of them, sort of completed the set, but now that I look at them, I think they could have some more little details. The current little details I don't like much.

The specular textures could be adjusted, so that they're not so different colour from the diffuse, and it could be a bit less maybe.. though I just upped the overall intensity of the specular in the game, the default value just didn't give strong specular effect, even if the specular texture is really bright.

I started working on redoing the details...

I haven't quite decided which of these are the ones I'll use. I could use two of them, since the texture is wider than one of these pillars...

Some more progress on the metal texture set.. I've worked on it this whole day. Now it's starting look more ok. I think I will try to do fewer variations of it, but each are more unique. I'm going to have two colour variations of it though.. I'll probably use them like this: colour A used in episode 1, colour B used in episode 2.

and green(desatured from the previous) one too: http://koti.mbnet.fi/jeejeeje/wip/metal_21.jpg
