I've now uvw mapped the character model.. I decided I put all shirts and coats in one map and all pants in one map. Fitting one shirt in one map just didn't work so well, got a lot empty space then... Of course now, if I want to have some texture variation in one shirt or pants, I should have variation in the others as well.

Torso and Legs:

Head, Hair & Beard, Hands, Shoes:

and I started drawing some eyes:

Started drawing the face now.. I also made the eyes have more resolution.. It looks older than me.. but it's meant to be older than me, but maybe not as much as it's now. Eyes may be a bit different colour, but that's about how they looked like in the bathroom mirror. Sometimes they look brown, sometimes they look dark green.. I like green

Render:

Texture:

Various clothes, not textured yet, only uvw mapped. All on separate uvw maps, thought it would be better in case I need to change or remove something I don't like:

Thought I needed to use a photosourced texture... my webcam is quite poor for that, so I only get blurry images... Still need to add every little pimple, scar, skin condition I may have...

Oh and I'm not planning on having outlines on the models, just thought it'll add some contrast to the model & background.

More progress on the head texture... how old he looks like? I think he looks at least 30:

I also tried to draw hair on my hair model, but it just didn't look like anything yet, maybe it needs a higher resolution to look like hair..

Seems like the eyes are difficult.. Someone said to me they make it look not human... Lighting makes it look better, but it don't fix the eyes. Any suggestions how to fix them?

Allright, I got the eyes fixed.. Suddenly I just found out what it was that made them look not human. I also changed the model a bit, so it would look more like me. Now the trouble is with hair... Doesn't look much like hair.

I put some meshsmooth, bump map and specular stuff the render... just for fun.

Here's some texture test I made, I wanted to test how I should do bump maps, after some 30 minutes of testing, I got a texture like this:

Testing some city textures:

The windows aren't complete yet. They need some frame around them, they could be brighter, maybe reflective, and the grid should be better too. The specular level of the entire texture could be decreased.

Well, it's just my opinion, but your char looked pretty good to me before you turned him into jesus, I'd skip that hair he's got, prolly the beard too, but that's just me

As for the building, textures seem fine, make sure to get them a bit more architectural in the finished piece rather than just a box made out of bricks with a little glass on em.. you know, add some deco and other stuff which's found on buildings that is

Cheers!

I redid the hair after checking out some hair drawing tutorials.. I also cut my hair from the back today (I tried to scan my hair and use it as texture), so the hair got shorter on the model too, the hair might be a bit darker than my hair really is:
