What is a sketchbook, and how does this work?
A sketchbook on GA is a single thread where you can post all your work and progress, regardless of how good it is, or how much work you've put into it. When you post on a regular basis in your sketchbook, you'll see your personal progress, and other people can follow all the projects you are working on.
Guidelines that can help you with your sketchbook:
- Each member is allowed to create one thread in this forum section. Every time you have new content for your sketchbook you post it this one thread (basic principle of a sketchbook).
- If you want a new title for your sketchbook, simply send one of the forum staff members a PM, with a link to your sketchbook and your new thread title.
- When posting new content in your sketchbook, make sure to add images to your post. Direct links to images are fine too, but avoid links to other pages (fe. your portfolio site) at all costs.
What does not belong in the sketchbook forum- Follow-up on a single project you're working on.
The sketchbook forum is intended to build a personal sketchbook that contains all your work. If you want a thread that focuses on one single project, consider making a thread in the wip forum.
- Don't dump your entire portfolio in 1 post and leave it with that. (use the portfolio section for that). It is alright to post some of your previous projects when you open a new sketchbook, but the sketchbook is mainly intended for images of things you are working on right now.
