Looks something like Doom3, but it's probably something from Gears of War. If it was slimmer(and some spikes around the body), it could be an Imp.

One thing that would give him a more anatomically correct torso would be to connect the underside of his chest to the edge of the shoulder.

Whilst the type of arm/chest you've given him is better for easy and quick rigging, it often looks a bit odd.

Here's a pic of an old project of mine. Whilst the edgeloops are a bit sketchy in some parts, I'll link it here to illustrate my point

Otherwise mate, instantly recognisable (Apart from if you're Jimi) and no real crits for the rest of it.

Keep on!

I recognized it was from Gears of War, I just don't know their names, but the face definitely looks like some Imp from Doom:

Doom Imp 2d
Doom Imp 3d
Newer Doom Imp 3d

I think he could use some bigger hands. He looks a bit weedy with his current wee mitts :P

And like Glynn said, you might have a better end result if you make the defining lower edge of his pectorals meet up with the defining lower edge of the deltoid (some good discussion on it here).

Although I'm guessing he'll end up with armor over his torso anyway.

Quite a target to meet for a praccy round, too Good luck.

yeah the hands need to be a lot bulkier, you could probably lower the elbow joint and lengthen his forearms a bit too

looking at the action figure i have of one of these guys on my desk here, I think the head needs to be a bit taller height wise. topology wise I would recommend having the bottom of the pecs flow into and over the bottom the the delts like in glynnsmiths model.

Thanks guys, good stuff.

I'm not going to reject everything. However most of the issues you guys mentioned are things that i copied from the original model. I made the reference plane images myself in the editor, using the orthogonal views, so shape wise it's almost identical to the real thing... (unless the view wasn't really orthogonal view). The character that was posted does look allot better than mine, so I'll try to adjust it so that it looks more like that one...

This is the one I'm making, i can post the reference images as well if anyone would be interested...

cheers

J
