Thought I'd start up my own sketchbook thread, I'm hoping to try get at least one speed sculpt a day into this bad boy to focus on improvement, although how long it'll last for is yet to be seen

While facebooking this morning during a break at uni, I came across some work by an FX artist called Jordu Schell (so not taking credit for the concept) and decided to try transition it into a speed sculpt which took about 2 hours. Trying to focus on getting up to speed with forms right now, will be updating this thread more when I get time - hopefully loads over easter holiday.





Also a sculpt of an old monk done for the Eat3D Head sculpting competition, not a speed sculpt but thought I'd upload it nonetheless

Hi mate, thanks for the comment, much appreciated But I still have a long way to go, haha

Another one, started yesterday but only got half an hour done before I was called to go out and didn't wanna rush it, so finished today -

Here's another one, my take on Monkey from the game 'Enslaved' by Ninja Theory. I say 'my take' as getting a likeness to Andy Serkis and then exaggerating it to fit the character's proportions was kinda tough! Anyway, speed sculpt #4 :-

All your works look impressive, and I especially like Monkey. I do think his hair looks a little blobby however.
