Alex Tooth sketchbook

Hi I'm new, starting a SB here.

Studies

Memory

Pissing about with Painter11.

Some thumbs from imagination

This is my first ever commission, woo, hopefully I'l get some more soon. Not really my cup of tea but I guess commissions aren't and that's what makes them interesting and a challenge.

I rarely comment on painting/drawing posts (as my skills aren't very good in those mediums), but this is quite impressive. In particular I enjoy the muscle anatomy sketches you did at the beginning. And as Polygoblin said, your facial expressions are very well done, especially the girl with the nose ring (4th down).

This is some very impressive 2D art. I love how dynamic the various figures look. It's also very nice to see someone paint/draw women with normal proportions, no massively oversized breasts or anything.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks all! I'm going to try get a bit more involved here

Polygoblin - Thanks! I feel line is a very strong tool to express all that needs to be expressed, I love practising them with their never ending variety.

Swag - Thanks very much for your comment, glad you like!

AlexanderSmith - hehe thanks. Yes really I find the fake look for women quite unattractice, au naturel all the way!

Drawing from the last few weeks. New painting on my blog! alextooth.com

These are all from life, mainly my parents! I booked a 5h life drawing day which they hold in town once a month, so got quite a bit done there - also some drawings in the V+A of sculptures.

Some random stuff from imagination, the flute player will probably be my next personal piece, been so long since I did one!

Few film studies, very hard to get colours or anything right, will practise more!

Nice to see your thread up on the main page.

Your art is really quite an inspiration to me, especially your color drawings. The fantasy game concept is really cool too, is that for an actual game?
