Been bit busy lately so not had much time to do much but decided to resurrect an older WIP of a sporty DB9 but ended up being a re-build.
Here's where I'm at the moment with the high poly. Just really the basic form is in at the moment. I know there is some weirdness at the skirt where the door will be that is to be resolved as with the vent.

As always any comments welcome esp as I'm not a car expert at all!

Ok so its been awhile since updated:

Here is completed excavator, being playing with rendering recently in Modo so here's what came up with. The low will follow soonish.

and if that wasnt enough! I'm starting a full environment, inspired by Alan Wake.
So it's going to be a contemporary mountainous logging camp.
Ive not been done much at the moment. Just doing the hard surfaced pieces and then going to move onto the vegetation.

Im not texturing just now either as going to do this in passes:
- do all the bakes first
- then vegetation
- basic lighting
- basic texturing
- additional set dress
- final texturing
- final lighting/post process

So here is just a couple of assets nothing exciting: (the green highlight is a broken env map btw )

So not a huge update:

-Completed small security cabin type thing.

-Blocked in really roughly the whole scene. Still some assets to block in (mainly wooden logs and trees) So excuse some crap geo and the trees are super quickly done with a broken material!

- Quick play with lighting. The final scene will be at dusk, almost night but some sunlight casting long shadows with some rain)

Hopefully next update to include:

- variants on the wire fencing
- front gate
- start on low poly of excavator

Taking shape nicely. Though one thing specially that noticed my attention is that there is something wrong with the proportions in the second image. Is this just the camera settings or are some models out of proportion? The cabin for example looks squashed down and the electric pole seems really thick.
