On ballpoint vs pencil - Ballpoints make me think about my lines more, no room for mistakes and all (plus they don't smudge).

We've been doing regular thunderdomes on IRC and you're all welcome to join us.

A thunderdome is When we get a set time (60 minutes for example) to do a set topic, and produce the best image possible. It's not competitive though - it's more about pushing your limits, getting better at speedpainting and having fun!
