paul's sketchbook

I decided to finally start a sketchbook. Been extremely busy in school doing things other than modelling . The first set of models I am posing were school assignments and we were given around 4 days on them and since I am not that fast of a modeler couldn't really complete them and have left some pretty glaring mistakes. I think instead of revisiting them I will continue with other models when I have the time.
Thanks for looking and any comments are welcome.

The bike was done completely in Nurbs - our teacher wanted us to learn a different way of modeling to help us improve our workflow. I missed my polys.

This guy has plenty of mistakes with anatomy (his mis-shaped abs and belly-buttonless belly) and I would have wanted to add more detailing into the armor and more armor itself.

I probably had the least time on this and I think it shows.

Great stuff considering the restrictions. It's good stuff anyway really.

Hey, thanks a lot Corey. I really appreciate it. Hopefully I'll find enough time to finish up some more models soon.

Corinthian Column

A Corinthian Column that I'm working on. Hoping to make chuck this into Zbrush to create some wear and tear and then hopefully will make a low poly out of it. Still have a lot of work left on it at this stage.

Nice looking stuff dude, especially considering the time limits.

What school do you go to?

Great hard surface modelling there, and within the time constraints the organic looks pretty damn solid.

Descent 3d work man!
Would like to see them with basic color tones though.

Keep posting

You have some great work. I really like your attention to detail. For 4 days, those projects are remarkable.

I agree with what was mentioned above, though, it would be great to see some color.

Been busy at school for the past month or so doing stuff that I did not particularly enjoy. Now onto stuff I do enjoy. We were given a week to light and texture a scene - this is from Jeremy Brin's Lighting Challenge on CGTalk. Not really Game Art in any way but felt like posting something new. It's not 100% done and there are a bunch of things I should either scrap or redo - but for now. C&C is always welcome.
