Did a quick model for a friend's mod who wanted some gallows in a certain scene. It's about 1500 polys, thinking about maybe adding a trap door and some hand rails and support to the stairs.

High poly M4 outer barrel. I'll do low poly in a bit.

Low poly done, wanted it to be really low poly since it's not something that will be viewed too much ingame, maps will probably be 256.

Trying to model a M1 Garand. Here's my go at it. It'll be good to finally learn and nail down some techniques. This will be my second gun model made.

Seems to be going good. Garand is a tricky weapon tbh, probably because most people (especially Industry games) do it so wrong. If you want some model refs feel free to take a look at my Garand model...

Sometimes it helps to see another proper 3D model of it, so feel free to use reference (I've fixed/changed things since those renders but you get the idea...).

Yah, the reference photos are hard to find, and I'm just giving it my best from the side view. I'm not looking for an accurate model. It's more of a "try and learn" project for me. But seeing how your mesh flows for the stock definably helps, I had no idea how the hell I was going to model it.
