It lacks some functional detail.
Right now the cannon seem to float in their bases.
Try to fix that

I would add bolts, screws or somethin like that on the cannon itself, and u can model some boards on the wheels of the left cannnon. u can even try to make high poly in zb with ornaments on the pipe, and then bake a normal map.

I hope that these new renders will bring a little more light to the cannons lol, yeah the small naval style cannon was floating in the previous renders only because i didn't work it all the way out though. I added more to the naval cannon and just took some renders so really i haven't altered the 18th century land cannon. TY for your suggestions dennispls and zipel, i don't think i will be bringing these into zbrush just because the engine i'm modeling them for is torque and well, we aren't using TGEA so there is no normal map support sry

As for the added screws and whatnot on the cannon i don't see many although that does give me the idea to make a steampunk style cannon third after these 2.

And these are for the new updates on the naval cannon

and one with both hope you enjoy keep the suggestions coming.

hey dude.

do you have a reference picture you're working from for the naval cannon, because it looks a little odd to me.

also it lacks one very important thing. there isn't a way to fire it s there isn't a hole in the top to ingnite the powder.

i was working off of a couple ref photos from google: naval cannon yeah i am planning on the hole being a black spot in the texture instead of adding more geometry for it.

fair enough, just one thing to note perhaps is that it might look a bit inconsistant. theres a lot of geometry in the model already, so doing it purely in texture seems a bit primitive when compared to the rest of the model.

i would suggest trying both, and seeing what looks better.

just a bit of food for thought
