Nicely chosen, dude

I see a bunch of stuff that could be made as part of a modular setup, that'd really make this project develop speedily.

Can't wait to see more progress

Thanks Sarayel, yeah it was really hard to model without the traditional tri-view. There's hardly a sceric of reference for the fifth element online and I mainly had to make the taxi from eye. It was very difficult and that result was after a day and a half of constant re-arranging and tweaking of areas.

Thanks glynnsmith also! The buildings are very modular which will speed up the process and give us more time to find out how the hell to use the Unreal3 engine before the deadline, lol.

I've been doing the right hand side of the city scape today (Dukesy will be starting the left soon)

If we haven't mentioned it yet, we are recreating the scene where the two cops are ordering McDonalds from the drive through and then Korben Dallas comes screaming past and clips the side of their vehicle making the driver spill his drinks. Our "snapshot" is at that point of near collision

The cars are just placeholders at the moment until we create some more, but you get the general idea. Everything is still wip of course! :P

Dukesy has been hard at work doing the foreground building geometry on the left hand side. Here's the result so far!

Meanwhile i've been playing around with unreal 3 editor for the first time
One of the scenes big focal points is the golden arches which currently has a diffuse, spec and glow on it in the following screenshot.

This is just a printscreen of the U3 ed viewport.

Crits very welcome on material setup. We both have a LOT to learn about U3 in a short time.

Much more to come
