Brilliant execution. My only niggle was the APC model. Some parts of it were incorrect in reference to the movie footage, colonial marine handbook etc, but the only thing I saw different was the rear of the APC with the several angles on it.
Other than that, I LOVED the attention to detail on everything in the scene, clearly ALOT of research went into modelling the scene correctly as well as biting the bullet and doing some guesswork, so a job damn well done, and I most certainly agree with everybody else here who would like to see a playable version

Funnily enough, before I saw this thread (just ran into it tonight while looking for reference material), I had gotten inspiration to work on the M577 APC and UD-4L drop ship and import them to ARMA and ARMA 2 later on as vehicles that can be driven and flown. While working on the first vehicle...the APC, I was thinking to myself "Maybe I should recreate Hadleys hope as a freeroam horror map for STALKER" which also got me wanting to make some beasties to import into the XRay engine (engine used by STALKER).
So far my APC is just missing a few little details and i'm really wondering how the top turrets rail system works, as my version will be animated. There is no good reference material showing how the gun moves along the rail, there is only a youtube video showing somebody's remote control APC with the demonstrator moving the turret along the rail, rotating it etc, and also showing the interior, but it's too dark and too low quality to see what the rail system really looks like still -_-

Seeing the work that you guys have done has made me want to get stuck in more than ever now, and is an inspiration, even without the cryengine doing all it's beautiful rendering, the 3d modelling work and texture work that you guys have done is amazing. I look forward to seeing this as some kindof playable demo or something, with full interiors and such.
If you guys had a before and after version for the map, that would be something special and memorable by gamers for a long time.
The before version could have a bunch of colonists who resided there going about their usual business, and you can freely wander around, watching them do tasks and explore the place.
The after would be where you can go in as a colonial marine and search for survivors in the aftermath of the alien invasion.

In any case, just being able to run around the map would be enough for alot of people

....I should stop typing now...I just can't seem to praise this work enough
