update with more assets. Redid the unwrap for the chair and i got rough texture for the chair and aliens. we now have a few more deco pieces and the alien skeletons. Lighting and materials are not final.

I liiiiiiiive!

No but serious, I haven't posted in forever >.> But now that alot of the assets have been built, time for ma real duty to kick into gear. w00t!

So I've taken the UT file and started the WIP for the finalized lighting and post processing effects. Again, right now it's still in progress, but I think its started to get there =)

Yeah, s0id3's aliens aren't in my version yet, but I recently got all those files from him today so I'll be throwing those in soon enough (perhaps after I get some sleep :P)

s0id3 and his brother made some awesome assets and basic mats, but now I'm going to try and kick 'em all a notch =) COuldn't help but start with the chair the second I saw it! ^^

And the material layout:

And of course then I moved on to the pillar:

and the mat layout:

And my final update for the day is this tiling diffuse texture I'm working on. It's for the bricks that will go along the entrance:

Mat Layout:

And there ya have it ^^ All critiques are welcome!

Nice stuff Kaijin, though I still think the back wall texture could be tweaked, like a more primary green color, and like have spots in that painting/image where it has been worn away or scratched off etc.
So like Kaijin said I'm making the aliens, though I may completely redo the low poly Because I'm not happy with it. Also in those screen shots that is the old chair model. Since then I tweaked it a little and redid the unwrap and texture.

Right on, the scene is coming along very nicely! The pillar looks amazing. However, it's a little tough to see your Materials inside the Editor. Looking good though!

This is looking good. I like it brightend up a bit, you can see your details better in the lighter pic. If you can get some good shine/bloom on the gold areas you can keep it dark and moody but vreate some cool contrast to the final shots. Keep up the good work.

Work work.

So I got all the updated assets and any new ones and dropped them in and, of course, began on materials and more lighting :P

This is the updated main shot, of course still wip...

If anyone can help with blurring out the edges of the godrays, it would be much appreciated! I tried looking at Epic's to figure out how they did it, but couldn't understand half the things they set up >.> So much still to learn, so little time =(

This is the mat layout that I came up with:

So I got the main bulk how I like it... just got to learn how to blurr those edges :/

Oh, I also set up the mat for the statue things. It's set to translucent since they're see through, but as far as I know that means the spec and norms won't work on 'em. I managed to fake specularity on it, but no idea how to do that with the normals.

Layout and mat shot:

And gekigengar's assets got some attention too:

Lastly, I updated my tiling bricks as well. Mostly changed the diffuse, heh =)

Now I'm off to get some sleep.
