Another update, the main object in the room the tank/chamber. This is still a work in progress, but here is the latest high poly.

Cheers

Hey Cordium. This makes a lot of sense. Thanks for breaking it down to me. I'll be sure to utilize this information for our Team's scene! Much obliged!

Hi all,

Casey: Gald that you found my reasons interesting, your very welcome.

Thefirston: Thanks, the scene is quite large, and has 4 completely different sides to it, there is the Operation theatre, the Hospital Beds section, the X-ray section, The pipes/entrance section, and the center piece which is the augmentation chamber. So there should be a lot of different areas to focus on.

I've done some work on the low poly augmentation chamber, its still a work in progress (there is still quite a bit to do to it.) but wanted to post what I have.

Hope that you's like it.

Cheers
Chris

Hey coridium, nice work so far... I really like the grey metal render of the WIP:Hi-poly chamber 4 posts up.

Would you mind sharing with us how you get those dirt around the bolts and crevices or is it some plug-in in some kind of renderer?

Thanks

This is looking really really awesome. Truly amazing work, Coridium!

I have a really stupid question for you..
How did you get the green goo to cast that green with respect to the surrounding chamber? Is it just an emissive, or do you have a green colored light casting through it?
Sorry for my noobness.

Hi,

Sover: Thanks for the comment! Its a really simple setup, I have a grey/blue diffuse with a specular and the 'dirt' is just an coloured ambient occlusion, thats it really.

OreoKooky: Thanks very much mate. You are right its just a simple light that is creating the colour, I might do a different process for the final env but will have to see how time goes.

More updates coming soon.

Cheers
Chris

Cool stuff so far . That tile texture makes it look absolutely tiny though, because of how deep and wide the gaps in between them are. This chamber is supposed to fit a grown man, so you could probably fit your big toe down those gaps in the tiles!

LOL, Yeah you are totally right. The tiles are not the correct size, it was just a BSP plane with tile texture on it. I should have tiled it more, was 1am in the morning at the time , it will not be like that in the interior. I actually have it in the interior with correct tile spacing ect but wanted to fix a few more things before posting it.
