Fear and Loathing thats a nice one I should have suggested. The room or the casino would both be pretty cool choices in my opinion.

Yea, Ive thought about that crazy casino. The Circus type one. But that would be hard to pull off. But ill add it to the list of things, maybe Ill go with it.

The flooded hotelroom from Fear&Loathing was actually on my list too, so I'd love to see that one

Last night after playing around with the UT3 engine and CryEdit to refresh my mind, I was unable to find a way to do godrays/volumetric lighting with UT3. I was originally thinking of using UT3 engine but now it has me thinking, if I can't achieve godrays in UT3, perhaps the CryEngine would give me a better looking scene especially with that ambient occlusion too. But then again, I find it a bit more challanging to make a closed enviroment in the CryEngine. Has anyone found a way to do godrays in UT3 or can you only fake it?...

Do you think Id be better of with the CryEngine for such a scene?

I now have a basic plan of the Hotel Room from various scenes from the movie. I believe I have it pretty accurate, after watching the hotel room frame by frame I'm starting to feel very excited with this environment choice. The walls have a shiny like swirlie wall paper, and the hotel room design is fantastic. Lower area filled with water. Checkered reflective glass wall pieces, lots of mirrors. This is gonna be great!.

I roughly blocked out the whole hotel room (aside from the washrooms, since the doors will probably be closed or Ill see if I have time to add it in the end).

Now that I have a basic plan to work from, I can start modeling and piecing together the "good" assets.
