*thumbs up*

And how the hell do you save a TOD. It doesn't work for me. SO I've written down my settings. And whenever I open my level, I manually input those settings in the TOD ... meh .....

Nice, to see the latest updates. Progress seems to be moving along nicely, how much more do you plan on doing?

The floor looks a little bit like the Atlantic ocean . Is it supposed to be that flooded and rough?

Oh damn, satan I'm so sorry I completely forgot to reply to your PM! :S Gonna do it now...

Coridium, there's still a lot to be done unfortunately, like finish the background rocks, texture the crane vehicle, model at least 2 more buildings, make some metal debris (junk) to fill-in the scene a bit more, and of course tweak the lighting to try and achieve exactly the lightning and style of the movie scene.

Pankake, yeah man, maybe It's a bit exagerated at the moment, still gotta work on the water a little bit more, but pretty much all the ground of this scene is filled in with water pounds. (Example, lower right corner of this pic.)

PS. To help us out with some of the modeling work, Buddy has just joined the team. of course he's a bit late for the party but his help will be crucial to the conclusion of this scene in time.

Here's my first attempt to compare what we got, to the actual scene of the movie.

Oh, and I'm also studding possibilities for the second shot, where the APC will be the main piece, here's one of them, I liked this one, but most probably I'm gonna pick a spot in front of the North Lock door for the 2nd shot.

this is looking great guys just watch out that the robot vehicle thing doesn't stick out too much, unless thats your main focal point then other wise its fine
if not you can either add some slight color to everything or just desaturate it a little, with the tarp

apart from doing great justice to the movie scene, this is also looking like a real playable game environment.
could you perhaps add some fog, specially around the lights in the scene? Might add tht extra zing as in the movie screenshot.

Yeah man, Thanks to some websites that have been making articles about our work, we really appreciate that we are getting the attention.
But, keep in mind that although that I was the one that started this, this is not MY work alone. There’s 3 of us working on this, Lee3Dee, Buddy, and me (HP).

here's the pcgames.de article:
Aliens: Die Rückkehr - Helder Pinto kreiert LV-426 auf Basis der CryEngine 2 + Bilder!
