Wow... you really seem to be reluctant to change anything at all... this is not a good look for you. To put it bluntly.... your web page is HORRIBLE.
Way too many pieces to rummage through, long loading times, navigation is rather complicated, and awkward. No potential employer is going to spend an hour looking through all of that. My guess is, they probably are not even waiting through the load times: and if they do happen to wait... there is allot of haggling around just to see one of your pieces. Its too much, navigation is far to complicated and you are making your self inaccessible. Its aggravating.
Solution: get rid of the flash, all the awkward and clumsy navigation, and narrow down the work to a handful of your best pieces. 5-7 is all you need... and they should be the first thing they see.
Just yesterday (last night) I was at a meeting with some local developers... one of the attendees was a rep from a major publisher/developer. It was a casual setting in a local coffee shop, So I had the opportunity to chat with him a good bit about these things: I got allot of great information, and feed back from him first hand... and
Yes... they do look at portfolios, briefly, and there are thousands of them to look at, as I was told. Much of what he suggested... was not a whole lot different than what others have suggested here on the forum:
To the point
contact info everywhere
You have to make an impression, and let them know who you are rather quickly. And you have to ask your self.. are you really doing this, with this presentation?
No you are not, by any standards. Sorry to be so candid... but people are just trying to help you here
Hope this sinks in... because from what I can tell you do have some raw talent... but your practically killing any chances you do have with this difficult presentation.
