Online portfolio of moi

Oy!

I would like some comments on the quality of my work, site layout and anything else you can come up with. I've kept the site really simple since I'm putting my effort in creating stuff rather than trying to learn how to create fancy websites.
The focus is on my work so I've skipped the news page which I feel is pretty useless.

I'm thinking of removing the texture work at the bottom since I feel it's pretty outdated, let me know what yall think about that thought.
Lastly the image with the grainsacks is lacking wireframe, polycounts and texture maps since I haven't come up with a smart way of showing of these without creating an image bigger than the distance to the moon, so if you got any cool input on this I would like to hear it.

Thanks in advance!

And the site:

Hey,

I am not sure what thing that is you are using to display your images but for me it took at least 5-10 seconds to load. You might want to look at something faster.

Apart from that its a good site. The image thing may even be fine I might have had a slow connection at the time.

Some nice work there.

Mat

Looks solid. One of the most important things in a portfolio is to show your work on the very first page and you do that so that is great.

Maby you could give it a more interesting design? More graphics intergrated into the page.
And more refined text and color style.

Thanks for feedback guys

Sarge Mat: Yeah Ive been thinking about having that lightbox thing or not, I havent heard anything about it taking a long time to load untill now though. I was thinking of having for the latest prop image a smaller site of it's own where I show off the different texture maps and all that, probably the easiest solution.

Fleshen: Well I don't really feel I have the time to learn/create a more advanced site, I'm actually satisfied with the design as it is, for now. I am probably going to fancy it up sometime in the future though.

What about the design of the images? Does it work? Is it too much info for a too small space with wires, polycount and texture maps?
Thanks

I would get rid of the "drawing" section and put it on the front page with all your other stuff. Your images aren't that big, so loading time shouldn't be a problem.
Presentation of your work is fine, imo. You've got wires, texture sheets and polycount...I guess those are the most important things.
A little offline version of your resume would be fine (or at least indicate that I'm downloading a .pdf file when clicking on the resume button).

Btw. love that auto repair station

I think it looks good, clean and easy to navigate. As for the loading-time of the images, it took me half a second or less to load those up, so I wouldn't say it's much of a problem myself

Cheers!

@BJA:
Thanks a lot mate
Yeah you got a good point there, I think the biggest reason why I gave the drawing part a site of its own was that I thought I was going to add more stuff, well I haven't hehe
What exactly do you mean with an offline version? Like a link that directly downloads it for the viewer?

@Tiros:
Sweet, thanks for input!

Ah sorry, I meant an online version Just a small summary of industry related experience, education and skillset on your website. Not sure how relevant this is, but I've seen this in a lot of portfolio sites, so I guess it won't hurt to have it.
