So, it's been about two weeks since I posted this, is my website so awesome that you all are speechless or does it suck so bad you don't want to make any comments cause they will make me cry. Either way I would love to hear what you have to say. But since I am thinking of redoing my website I would like to hear more about the work being presented on it.

By the way for any employers out there I am looking for a job so if you do like my stuff send me an email.

i hate that picture thing, cant think of name. but one opens new window over website.... really annoying.

also the close image is broken on it.

work is decent and the site was easy to navigate

but perhaps break up your images so they make sense. Right now seems random, if it is random get rid of green lines cause i thought those were breaking ur models up into categories

Are you talking about Lightbox? If so, you're the first and only person I've seen that doesn't like it... I think it's more annoying for new windows to pop up, or for the entire page to change, Lightbox solves those problems... IMO.

Anyways, to the OP: I like your layout, it's nice and relatively clean. However as far as your content goes, I think you should clean up some of your geometry. For example, there seems to be a 10-sided polygon in that cannon render. I know it won't matter once it's been triangulated, but keeping everything tris/quads in a wireframe render for a portfolio is a good practice and shows attention to detail.

I really don't like Lightbox myself, seems to slow stuff down a lot and it's just plain annoying. If I were in the position of an employer looking at a portfolio website, I know I'd appreciate it if there was no Lightbox...

Well, if you don't feel that lightbox is good enough, you could try thickbox instead. It's a lightbox type, but to me it seem to run more smooth.
And open up windows into the windows seem more optimized then open up whole new browser windows or to go to a new page, because then you have to go back, and sometimes that means the page need some time to load again, sometimes you have to scroll down to where you were ect. So this method seem to be the best imo.

Thank you all. By the way most of the people I have talked to love light box I don't see what the problem is with it.

Ok now I will jump in and give you some comments on the question you really asked. I like you're website, hell better than mine virb account. Indeed a sections would be great. Some more 2D art I would prefer, why? Because some people can model very nice and texture incredible, but artistic they are ZERO, and a persone who can make some beautifull art but less model and text. can grow better in my eyes,

But! If I was a guys who had to look at portofolios all day,... I dont know, because I'm not. And if I'm not, I dont talk like one.

Thank you for the information. I should be updating my website sometime next week. I will keep the changes you all suggested in mind. Except the Lightbox thing. Also, I will be sure to add more drawings and hopefully some new props.

the box that loads pics in it is retarded.... just my opinion, good stuff, simple layout, have to say there is some wasted space down at the bottom of the artwork page you may want to shrink up but looks good minus the picloading script
