Swag's Portfolio
Finally got this thing online.
I am mostly looking for design crits, but if anything is really that bad on there, then please feel free to let me know. Thanks. EDIT: I did make some changes, as outlined below, such as a different color scheme. Francois Stelluti - Portfolio

Well, it's not too bad, but I do have to disagree on Kaburans opinion of it being clean I'm afraid. It feels a little too busy atm, too many colours, and lively colours
![]() It's your models that's supposed to be lively and radiate, not your portfolio ![]() Cheers!

i'd recommend make your portfolio back up your desired position a bit more, it says 3d environmental artist, to my understanding (i'm sure it varies from company to company) it's mainly environmental textures and a few models, i may be unclear on that though
my only other crit is get rid of the barrel, those things are embarrassing :P lol |

Thanks everyone for your comments.
Tiros: I'm afraid that I must respectfully disagree. I used Talon's portfolio as inspiration and he did a great job making it nice, bright, and clean (meaning simple). I also had a good look at yours, but I must admit that it was a little too dark for my taste. Although I must admit that I might change the orange roll-over that I am using. Gephoria: You might be correct, but what you are describing sounds more like a texturing artist. Anyway, like you said, it does vary from company to company.

i have to agree with Tiros. they layout is fine. but the color scheme is kinda wierd looking. I would go with a dark color scheme because it makes a better Matte for your work. If your going to go light then it should be really simple. you have blues and oranges and your banner has an almost yellow green. The pieces dont quite fit in my opinion.
i would lose the "latest work" and headline just separate your stuff by the type of work. |

The comments that have been made kind of already covered what I wanted to say.
But Laughing_Bun hit it on the head, I would take your header gradient and desat the lighter color, its def reading as greenish. A simple dark blue to grey might be all you need. Also, if you are absolutely set on having some kind of "latest work" section, I would suggest getting yourself a blog of some kind. There very easy to update and will usually give you around 3 gigs of free storage space. Check out - blogspot.com, its very easy to use. |

Ok, I took everyone's advice and toned down the colors in the header. I darkened the background slightly, but that don't want it to be too dark. I also took out the latest work section, since it's a rather redundant section.
Thanks again.
