The layout is pretty much how I want it to be (could be a bit more flexible tough) but it needs more stuff in it.

Seems like a fine start. As always: drop the splash, make the index your portfolio gallery, and put up more completed work. Otherwise, keep at it.

I personally would drop the tiling brick background. It's very repetitive, and distracting. Also, the white background in your frame was pretty hard on my eyes when next to the darker background on the outside. Since there is nothing else really of a light gray or white color, that white really doesn't seem to fit.

New layout! No splashscreen, I'll have some of the better pieces on the front page and no distracting background. It's still in development phase but basic shape is there.

It's fine, though I'd tighten up the top banner/menu. Currently, it takes up a lot more horizontal space than it needs too. Put your name, email and position sought up there for the full effect. Otherwise, keep working on content.

I can barely read the font on the banner and it's overall very dull. But clean and probably simple to navigate when there's content. Try finishing it instead of just noodling around with little bits of the interface for better feedback.
