Fountain :
- Show your wireframe - Make your UV in 1 package, not 2 (for that kind of prop, it's useless to make 2 texture for nothing) - 2048 for that kind of prop is too much, I would use maybe 512 or 1024 max. Deus Ex : - I would suggest you to look at racer445's tutorial, so you can understand more how texture works Next-Gen Hard Surface - Racer445 Tutorial How to Hand Paint Convincing Metal Textures - Same thing with 2048, it's too much : 512 is good Barrel : Same comments as the Deus Ex prop Resume : - Mark your education - Mark your experiences Problem with 2048, it's about texture memory. I've seen a lot of environment scene, the total is 4096. So the challenge is to make a whole scene with a lot of props, fitting within the limit of 4096. If you have 4 props of 2048, you just take all the texture memory. If all your props are 512, you can have around 32 props at the same time. Good luck! |

thankyou
Thanks megalmn2000 for the comments.
My purpose of make it texture bigger is for better render, but I know I have to make it smaller in a engine. And about the metal texture I'm working hard to improve my level. Thanks alot for the comments (make it keep my eyes open!!). MJ |
