You're in good shape portfolio-wise. The only thing you could do to improve your portfolio is work on the website so the image slices are placed with the background attribute instead of the image tag. For example, your current table is like this:

Code:
<td><img src="http://www.JRGameart.com/Homepage/element_01_main.jpg" width="1100" height="170"></td>
Placing the imagery in the background would look like:

Code:
<td background="http://www.JRGameart.com/Homepage/element_01_main.jpg" width="1100" height="170"></td>
It's not XHTML compliant, but you're not a web guy so it shouldn't matter. If you do this for your site, then you wont be able to highlight all of the images in your site. The only ones you shouldn't need to place in the background of the table would be the images you plan to use for hyperlinks.

Aside from that, I would be somewhat concerned about the names of your categories. Ingame as a category clashes with Level Art as they are both in game. Find a way to better label your scenic items versus your environment art; especially considering you label yourself as an environment artist.

i would like to see the best stuff on the first page! not have to go to another one to filter trough it.
I would also have seprate pages for each model or scene. That ship would look allot better without the black background

Hey,

I like your pieces of work, but I think you should clean up your page a little bit. It's too colorful, too many pictures and it is a little hard to navigate. I also made a thread where I currently research the criteria of a good portfolio page, maybe you find something useful!

Cool to find more and more germans in the Forum. I am still a newbie, if you want a nice chat or provide some advice you may contact me via ICQ: 595566719 or SKYPE: vr_hamza
