Please rate my layout

Hi, I'm just putting the finishing touches to my online folio, and am after some crits about the general layout.

Mick Gardiner

The Game Art section is very sparse, so I'm not looking for crits of the work itself. Although the Visualisation section is finished and I would be interested to hear peoples opinions...

Thanks eveyone

Pretty nice so far, in terms of design.

The only crit that I have is that you don't seem to have a clear focus. Your site doesn't say "3D artist", "Environment Artist", or even "Engineering Visualization artist" (or something to that effect) at the top. You should be clear as to what you want to be, in terms of marketing yourself. If you apply to a job for a game company they won't have any idea of what you specify in (which, if you look at job boards, is very important these days).

You're right - I don't even know myself what I want to do!

I guess Engineering Viz is my strong point to I'll add something to that effect.

Thanks!

I really liked your work. I'm curious how you rendered your club. Which software package did you use? I loved you specular and normal maps, great job! I also liked the layout of your web portfolio!
