New portfolio-design - Crit me boys!

Posting this on various page on the web to get some crits. Hope nobody minds. I want the page to be good after all.

I decided to redesign my webpage and since my webcoding god/friend will do all the nasty coding for me i will have to come up with a design so i´ve been checking out piors page alot since i like what he has. Simplistic, easy and fast.

I wanted to get away from that dark "haxxor"-underground thing i´ve been having for awhile now.

Banner is a WIP and the characters will be presented the same way as pior does it, (can´t render it out right now since im on the family comp). Will probably render the props like with the characters aswell.

Is it to simplistic?
Does it look like **** to you?
Am i an idiot?

Some guy said i should go black-tribal-border on it instead of the plain ones i use now but... hmm. I like it right now even though it might be a bit plain. Should i go even more crazy with the design?

Looks good.

Like I mentioned, I think contact details on each page is important. Hopefully after seeing your work, you want people to contact you about a position. So I'd have your email on every page, probably just below your name/skillset in the banner. The easier anything on your site is to do, the more inclined people will be to do it.

You will find that spambots search pages for email addresses and links to email addresses, however. So you may end up getting more spam to the email address you put up (I certainly did, but gmail's spam filter is close to perfect, so it's not too big a deal). Still not sure how you work around that :/



I gotta admit, I'm still not 100% sure what the images in your banner are A crescent moon and a celtic knot?

Will fix that thing with the contact info. The banner will be renewed aswell.

If the design cuts it that is. If not... back to the drawing board! '

EDIT: Drawing board it was. Here´s another design. Not to sure about the colors. I kinda like the menu. Will see if i can put some nice graphics into it.

I like the 2nd one for an index/home page, it is simple and put emphasis on your work.
If you want to put your blog on the same page maybe you could put the titles, with links to your journal articles, in a box on the side of your page
