[Completed] Concord Stagecoach
Request Type: Model & Texture   Type: Map Prop   Complexity: Medium

-------------------------------------------------------------
Mod URL: Fistful of Frags.
Name of Asset: Concord stagecoach.
Description of Asset: Classic stagecoach from Old West. Must have a dirty/dusty look to fit with our environments, must be accurate to references provided. Additional elements like luggage aren't needed. One of the doors must be opened, the other closed (inside will be accessible).

-------------------------------------------------------------
Tri-Count: Around 4000 max.
Sub-Models: 2 additional LODs: around 3000 and 2000 tris. This can be done removing decorative elements like oil lamps, etc, I mean, things that do not require too much effort.
Special Requirements:
-------------------------------------------------------------
Texture Size: 1024
Texture Maps: diffuse for the moment, normal map if requested by the artist.
RGB Values: no
Special Requirements: dirty/dusty look, paint a bit aged.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Links to similar assets: no
Link to Reference Material: refs attached.
-------------------------------------------------------------

This is an important asset for FoF, as most levels will need such prop to get a proper Old West look. The artist who wants to help us with this stagecoach will be invited to our private testing. Hope this'll encourage you

This thread is now accepting proposals. Keep it short; why are you the person for this? post previous work and stick to one post if you can (unless you need to ask a question). Only post if you are seriously interested in completing this assignment.

Looks like a fun model. I'd like a crack at it. You can check out my work here The Works of Angel Trudeau

Question:
Is this a Wells Fargo coach or just the same style?
LODs?
Deadline?

Hi Anime7Angel, just checked your portfolio and you have some seriously awesome stuff there, including some western related works. So if you want to try with this one well, it's all yours

This was planned as a genuine Wells Fargo stagecoach, however I have no special interest in the brand, if the style is similar that also could work. There are requested 2 LODs, as indicated in the original post. Deadline is a bit tight right now if we want to include it in the first public release of our mod, shouldn't be more than 3 weeks. If that's too soon for you then it would be included in future patches, however it's better if can be added from the beginning.

Thanks for the preview, looks pretty good for 2200 polys. Wheels probably have more polys than I'd spend there, however it's your model, but don't go over 2500tris for the low poly version plz. My only crit is those wheels, seem wider than in the references, specially behind. I also would like to get the door fully open if possible, now tops with the wheel before it should.

Ok here's the 3k and 4k models. The highest one is 3701 polys and the lower one is 3037. I hopefully adjusted the wheels enough. Do they still look to thick?

Before I start texturing, a few questions to clarify:
Do you want it colored the same as the references (red, black, yellow) or would you like it in different colors?
Lighting colors? if any...
Do you want shadows included in the texture?
Any modeling changes?

I'll start texturing this week and hopefully have it done by end of next weekend. Is that sufficient time?
