Competition #15 - TheCorey

I've started off with sketching some of my ideas:

messy storage room thing:

bed room:

farm outside:

These are obviously just for myself to try some ideas as they are way too messy for anyone else to understand . I eventually picked the third one.

Then I felt motivated and started a bit of basic modeling:

While skecthing the table felt good as a main prop. But now I think I'll replace it with something else. Not sure with what yet.

Critics and suggestions welcome.

more progress on the modeling. I think it's about done now:

I'm not sure if you are serious Shinbone but I'm not going to put a dead monkey in there. that just makes no sense. A dead horse maybe

Anyway, the center prop is now a wooden cart.

The main problem i see is that you're using quite allot of primitives. Pretty much everything is derived from a cylinder or a cube. Try to use some polymodeling here and there, it will break up all the corners and the edges somewhat...

and i think you got the doorknob attached the wrong way

I'm not sure what you mean. The objects I have in my scene just require to be made from primitives. Could you make a paintover to make it clearer what you mean?

what he means is that nothing looks like it sets itself apart from a cube, cylinder etc...
try and create some different looking objects

Hm, what's the current tricount at?

If I remember, they were pretty generous with the budget, but I might be misstaken, looks now like you're aiming for a lot of lowpoly stuff rather than fewer detailed, might be a good idea deciding upon that, especially before you start texturing

Cheers!

I'm not even on half the limit so I'll see what I can do. I meanly keeping it a bit more lowpoly because my high poly skills are not so good. Plus I really need a better pc.

Thanks for the comments!
