Not sure on Crysis as I ain't got it but UE3 comes bundled with UT3.

I'd like to get something cleared up before I start; can I use 2x 2028x2048 diffuse and 2x 2048x2048 normal/specular etc, or just 2x 2048x2048 for everything? Different parts of the rules seem to imply both.

I think that'd be "2x 2028x2048 diffuse and 2x 2048x2048 normal" and so on

2 questions...

1] doylle - the guys over at CGSociety want to download your shaders examples from this post, can i post direct links for them [since non-members can't access it].

2] "Can anyone who wrote his own game engine use it for this competition??" this was asked over here. i'm kinda scared to allow it unless it has been used in a game that has shipped. i don't want someone who made a raytraced engine that runs at 3fps but looks really, really, good... that's not much of a game engine.

1. ah, i'll make a post there and attach it (forgot about it, sorry )

2. hmm, good point there. Let's go with" No, unless it has been used for a shipped title" works for me...

Then can I use Max's viewport, but with lots and lots of self-made custom HLSL shaders ?

This may seem strikingly stupid, but I'd rather ask than not know: if the judges have difficulty determining which prop is supposed to be the centerpiece, is that a negative?
