@ gyles: yes, ticks, scorpions, spiders, they are all in the arachnida class, and therefor allowed
![]() @ madcan: You have to do everything yourself. This includes the concept work too...

@ neaps: We decided that a rider is not allowed, because the insect will become more of a tool rather than a character/creature.
@ Baida: You can make as many as you like, but you can submit only one... ![]() @ z-trooper: Yes you can add more than one insect on your beauty render, but don't exaggerate. You can also make a small environment, which does not have to be included in the 1k triangle limit, but don't spend to much time on this, it'll hardly make any difference for the judging...

My concept is to have a Shamrock Spider armored like an India war elephant with a younger shamrock spider riding on it's back. Some arachnids are known to transport their offspring on their back, so I figured it would be an interesting metaphor. In an RTS a rider on horseback would only be considered one unit (cavalry for instance) and given the 1000 tri limit I figured than an RTS is the likely use for such a model. Don't think of the larger spider as a tool - think of both spiders as part of the same character. Like a partnership. How about it? |
