Project Reality - Lead Artist

Alright guys... finally one from me

Seeking Lead Artist
http://www.realitymod.com

Our British Soldier In-game complete with SA80

some screens from our previous release

We are in need of a Lead Artist for our team, lately our squad has been very focused on coding and release which has lead to some great achievements such as being the largest BF2 mod at this time, numerous articles in various print media and a die hard community which has followed this project since inception July 2004. Ironically, we were also the first mod announced for BF2. Although gameplay is killer and very enjoyable, the graphics need some renovating / updating. As a result of this, we need a lead artist. Responsibilities include:
  • Coordinate and assign tasks to your team via our project tool (JIRA)
  • Guide & assist art team in challenging tasks (excludes mapping, this is just 3D/2D)
  • Liaise directly with management
  • If time allows, take part in creating art assets for the team too.
Skills we are looking for:
  • Strong knowledge of either 3DS Max or Maya (most are max, but a poly will always be a poly, just like a UV map will too)
  • Intermediate texturing skills. We rather you have a good foundation in all forms of textures (diffuse, normal, spec, alpha) rather than being a god of diffuse lighting and as a result don't know what a normal map is.
  • Previous mod / project experience would be of a great benefit.
Our team is about 30 devs, forum communtiy up to 7500+, players online in the evening 200+, it's a fun place Also please take note that Project Reality will most likely be switching from BF2 to another modding platform in the near future, something to look out for

If you don't feel you can be a lead, but still want to be an artist, you're still free to contact me here:

Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers
