2D RPG seeks artist

Hello all!

A friend and I are developing a 2D RPG to build experience collaborating with a team to construct a project that we can use as a portfolio or to write about on our resumes. We are looking for an artist to join us who can become as passionate about the project as we are.
We are both full-time university students, and as such, are looking for a partner who would like to join our project/hobby.

The basic concept for the game is a 2D action rpg where you play a character that can explore and interact with their world. Parts will be previously generated (ex: cities, towns, some dungeons) and some parts will be randomly generated. We will also allow for user-generated content.

We would like to use a lot of games for inspiration. We would like the gameplay to feel similar to that of the 2d Legend of Zelda games, where you have very intuitive movement and attacking and blocking. We would like to pull ideas from the Elder Scrolls series, where there are no "classes", but rather you build certain skills and unlock abilities not just based on those skills, but also some based on multiple skills being at certain levels. We also would like to have a deep crafting system, and allow for you to create and repair your own equipment. We have several interesting design concepts that we believe we can implement that we can share once we receive interest.

If you are interested in becoming part of the team, please let me know and we would be glad to discuss it further!
