Ground-Floor Opp on BorderSpace
I'm a member of a currently-small team that is working on a new space MMO called BorderSpace. Most of the people on the team played a little-known game called Jumpgate, that launched 10 years ago. Jumpgate was unique in that it was far more real-skill based than the subsequent entries intonthe genre -- Earth & Beyond, Vendetta Online, Eve and now Black Prophecy.
Our team right now is primarily programmers and we are looking to bring a few artists onboard to start crafting the look and feel of the game. Our game will not be the "traditional" race versus race scenario. Our gameworld -- as the name suggests -- is a space-frontier setting. Like I said, we are not looking for people to draw things we tell them to draw -- we're looking for people to join us in the bottom-up creation of the whole look and feel of the game. Still looking for more art help. Need concept artists, environmental artists, as well as 3D artists.

We are still looking for artists: concept, 3d modeling, skinning/texturing
Right now concept artists are a priority. We are primarily looking for people to join the team (i.e. non-paid at this point) but we will also consider paying for commissioned sketches and speed-paintings if the price is right. Philter Gameworks is still looking for texturing artists to work on BorderSpace, a new space MMO. It's a sandbox game that has elements of space sim, shooter and RPG. We're developing using the Unity engine.
Right now we are trying to complete a small number of assets for use in limited alpha testing and are looking for artists with experience doing texturing.
