The creators behind the popular steam supported Half-Life 2 Modification Zombie Panic: Source are seeking skilled, motivated, and ambitious individuals eager to join our team in development of our upcoming Source title-


Position:
3D Character Modeler

Job Description:
Telecommuting - Looking for experienced organic 3D character modelers who can handle todays expectations and standards in 3D visuals. We will want you to sculpt a hipoly design based off our existing concept art then create a lowpoly for the bake. (Specifics and Concept available during interview)

Requirements:
  • Experienced in 3ds Max 8, 9, or 10
  • Experienced with sculpting tools (Zbrush for example)
  • Exceptional artistic talent in photoshop expected of todays artists
  • Working knowledge of Diffuse, Specular, Normal, and Phong mats
  • Team player with good communication skills

Preferred:
  • 2+ Years Industry Experience
  • Rigging & Animation Experience
  • Fan of survival horror

I emailed the contact email about the pay situation but have yet to here a reply. So mark maybe you can answer my main question. Are they hiring freelance artists and if so would they pay per asset or are they trying to hire more of full time employee.

It would most likely be some kind of royalties agreement, at least for the time being.

Ok then maybe this needs to be moved to the other hiring sections as I believe royalties agreements aren't considered as payed placements on this boards. Well at-least they didn't used to be.

It's true, royalties are not considered paying jobs for the sake of these forums.

If the job involves royalties as a form of compensation, it should be moved to the mod/volunteer forums.

Unless you can guarantee payment that is not in the form of royalties.
