[PAID] Professional 2D artist required for iPhone game

Brief description:
The title is a commercial 2D, side-scrolling, character-based racing game for iPhone and iPad. The game is in the final stages before art assets have to be implemented. Top-tier graphics are the expectation (see talent description below).

Compensation:
This is a paid, remote freelance position for a new mobile gaming company.

Talent needed:
The project currently requires one (1) 2D artist. Talent in vector art would be best. Other methods will be considered if the quality is high enough. The ability to produce simple animations for a limited number of sprites would be a plus, though not required. The graphical style is a minimalist, creative, vibrant 2D. For a reasonable idea of the mockup style, look at screenshots of Locoroco, and some Patapon. Such a simple style can be difficult to expertly implement, and a creative, capable artist is required to create top-tier graphics. Other styles, including more detailed ones, will be considered. Considerable experience is not necessarily a requirement, but the standards for this project are high, and the artwork must match. Initial work will be style definition, followed by game assets. The asset volume required is fairly moderate.
