Hi my name is Matt, I used to mod controversial video games such as Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and now IV. I am part of a modding team for it called DoTTGaMMa, which is the whit behind my username. I focus primarily on texturing, and I minor in 3ds Max modeling, knowing some technques and extents in 3ds max, but it isn't really my place. I am great in Photoshop CS4 Extended, and have been experienced at it for some time now...(about two yrs. and took some classes which I A'ced) I have made many desktop backgrounds, textures, skins... and I'm experienced in other video game creator engines such as FPS Creator X10, and know some other extents. I am a beginner today at ZBrush, and it seems like a program I would like, as its similar in context to photoshop dimensioned building.

I would be glad to assist anybody with textures, etc...
So if you need any position filled for a team, I would be glad to assist, in any position you need.
Just contact me here, or preferrably E-Mail...

Thank You Game-Artists!

Me

I'm an illustration student at PNCA in Portland, Oregon. I love guns, robots, aliens, gore, fire, carnage, and the occasional dragon. I'm currently looking for a summer internship on the west coast. I'm hoping that I'll be able to meet some people that can point me in the right direction for that.

Cheers!

Ven

Hi, Gaming Artist

Hi, my name is Nick. The Game Industry can be very difficult to get into these days. The key to making it is attaining a diverse background in gaming knowledge, and understanding various software packages. Programs such as Maya, Photoshop, and 3dsMax are at the helm of the industry and are great to know for developing a portfolio or getting further into your business or hobby. In succeeding as a digital artist it’s vital to broaden your knowledge in regards to traditional skill, technology, and creativity. I hope to be of help to others in understanding digital art and the game industry.

Thanks for having me here,

Nick B.

From Chatbot land

hi there, I'm Erwin Van Lun, I seem to be pretty old on this forum. Let's say, born in the sixties! That's a while ago :-).

I'm running Chatbots.org (Chatbots.org - Chatbots, virtual agents, virtual assistant, chat bots, conversational agents, chatterbots list. Directory), a website on humanlike conversational AI.

Most of our current members have an AI background and they're working on making characters more intelligent. Members of game-artist.net make characters more humanlike, don't they?

I personally believe the fields will merge in the future and that's why I signed up.

Please feel free to drop me an email or a PM if you've an interesting idea or simply would like to know more.

Hello there,
I'm a 3rd year illustration student and at the moment considering to become a game artist. I don't really know if it's something for me, because I like the freedom of an illustrator, but I do want to know more about it and hence I'm here.
I myself like to play arcade games and sometimes RPG's (especially the Japanese ones).
I love LocoRoco, Pokemon, Luminous Arc, Katamari Damacy, Okami, and I also admire a lot of game art, from Eternal Sonata fro example. I'm not 3D experienced, probably never will be, I like 2D. For an idea, check my website or my DeviantArt gallery, although there will be more illustration stuff than game-related art.
Hope this forum will be helpful in any way nice to meet you all!

Hey

My name is Tim Keenan, I founded an independent game studio in the SF bay area. Game art is a huge part of our games since, after all, we are talking about a visual medium. I joined to learn some and hopefully find an artist I can contract from time to time
