hey everyone I'm a total game art newb but I signed up here so that I could learn something and possibly make some textures/models for a mod some day.

Greetings everyone!

I've been lurking here for a little while checking the place out.

Currently I'm working with a small dev company in Houston called Pi studios. I use whatever program is needed at the time.. max, maya, a little xsi, zbrush, mudbox...

The last two projects I worked on were Call of Duty 2 and 3.

Hey guys, just thought I would introduce myself since I've visited this site everyday for the past month. I graduated the Art Institute of Phoenix in 2005 with a degree in Game Art and Design. My name is John and I'm a 3d artist currently living in NJ. I'm getting ready to start the MFA program at Academy of Art in SF, majoring in Game Development. Just trying to get on the other side of the controller. Looks like a great place is developing here, hopefully I can add something to the mix.

My name is Håvard, im from Norway and I hope to be in the industry one day. Currently im in the army, after that I plan to perhaps take a year off to work with some projects, or find a college/university in Norway (or outside, depends) that can teach me more 3D related subjects in regards to level design/making props

Salutations,

My name is Rudyard Paine, I've been using the nickname 'ash' for about ten years now. I just like the title Lord. I'm buying a house a house with my student loans, I've recently returned to school. My GPA is 4.0, but I've only taken a couple of classes, I hope to keep it. This Spring ('07), I will be taking PhotoShop and Flash. I'm picking up my copy of Adobe Web Bundle 2.3 for $499 in a couple of days. Gotta love that student discount. It's the first time I'll have had Pro software, I'm really looking forward to it.

My compy is a 2.4ghz P4 IBM. I've got a Wacom Intuos3 9x12 I picked up doing a web-page layout for a furniture store a couple summers ago. It sat in a box for a year till I had a compy decent enough to run it. I'm currently working on a content pack for gameSpace from Caligari. I'm doing this to get out there a little, build my resume/portfolio up a bit. It's the first project I'll have done. I've been "designing" games for about 20 some-odd years. I have never been in a position to work in the industry. I spent about ten years homeless and traveling, off and on. It's only been the last five or six years that I've had a computer, except a C64 15 years ago. I'm a forum crawler and a tut-hound, I have spent thousands of hours reading tutorials and practicing. I have worked hard to get where I am today and I wouldn't be here without the help and support of my dearest friend Holly. For five years now she has been an inspiration to me. She is my muse and my love. I also have a cat named 'Aki-Shin', which means 'autumn-spirit' in Japanese. We got him on All-Saints Days three years ago.

Games are my passion, my media, my art. Games are my Life. I'll do it under a bridge on a laptop if I have to, even if it takes my entire life just to make one simple game. I am the Storyteller, I have stories to tell.

Hi there, My name is James and I am a 2d/3d Artist residing in Florida, I have worked with the Goldsrc/Source and a little of the BF2 Engine, I think thats enough to say but I am an avid gamer and when I am not gaming or desigining I am normally playing football in my backyard
