I hope to have fun, and to learn a lot. Also, recently I've been having trouble drawing anything; the ideas pop up, and become peices of work in my head, but I can't seem to put them on paper; I used to be able to, but I can't now.
Wow, it's nice to know what you want to do so early. I didn't start acting on my dream until a couple years after I had the idea and now I regret seeing all that wasted time that I could have been improving my skills.

The best advice I can give to improve your drawing skills is to draw as much as you can. Draw from observation, draw from your imagination, draw with different media, draw people, draw environments, draw still lives, draw creatures, draw pictures from artists you like, and draw in many different styles. Never get hung up on the same character or pose, as I see many young artists that just memorize a way to make something look cool and repeat it. Experimentation is key in learning.

Learning the basics of 3D packages is nice, but drawing will help you to learn the visual world, and will make learning to model a lot easier.
Most importantly, Have fun!

Name's Andreas, I'm 19 years old and live in sweden. Started modelling with Maya in june this year and love it. Before then I've been making maps in UnrealEd. I also like to work with other diital visual stuff like photoshop etc.

I study on college to become a gamedeveloper. What area in the industry(graphics, programming) I'm going to aim for is not decided yet but it will definately be as much graphics as possible. Next week I will start to program c++ for the first time, so I'll get get a hold on programming as well.
My class is working with other classes from different educations in digital media so this year I've also been working with fimlinf, editing in premiere, webdesign and other good stuff.
Anyways, when I'm not working with my studies I work on my own little projects wich I of course will publish here for feedback.

I hope I'll enjoy my stay here and I will be nice to the other members.

Hi, I'm ratu from germany. I try to give my best as texture-artist. First I begin to sell some textures. Now I join a team of a multiplayer fighting game. Also I work a lot of time on my website, a link directory about game-programming and 3D. It's in german. But the most of all I learn and learn.
I like it to work on textures and try out every day another kind of making.

Har har, lots of familiar faces here (Hi SpaceJesus, Sureshot, Fuse, Pete, etc)

Well quite many here knows me, but I'm a 16 year old finnish student and I've been doing textures for 2 years (I can also model and animate)

Unlike a lot here, I don't work and I don't plan to work in the industry, this has been and will be only a hobby to me ^^

Hi!
I'm onelegout, I'm 17 from the south of England and I'm an aspiring texture artist!
I'm still very inexperienced with texture art but I learn new things every day. I'm currently working on Northern Conflict, a battlefield 2 modification.
There seems to be a hell of a lot of great work here!
Peace,
H
