Im a Mechanical Engineer with terrible grammar so please forgive me. I own a Heavy Construction Business. I operate equipment when mother nature allows me to. Im 39 years old and have been addicted to games since the first Atari come out.
I want to learn how to bring what I have built-operated into the gaming world. I have a dozen or so games I want to make before I die , I hope to own an operate a small studio one day.
I have a diploma in Computer Programming, I have made several different co-op mods, 1942 and Vietnam. I have had rack space in Chicago so I might know a thing or two about dedicated servers .
I can model and animate some in Maya, I can fumble my way around in Photo Shop, I have made a map or two in UDK.
Im here to learn how to put all this together in a professional way to enhance my workflow.

Hello! My name is Jamie, and I'm an aspiring Environment & Texture Artist hailing from the Atlanta, Georgia area. I finished my BFA in Game Art & Design at the Art Institute of Atlanta back in March of 2012. I'm a long-time gamer and am just as passionate about creating game assets as I am playing video games.

I'd like to land a gig working on video games. It doesn't even have to be an industry job, to be honest. I wouldn't mind being part of a mod team, or an indie group. Honestly, I'm a little worried about what it'd be like to work in the gaming industry. It seems to be very unstable. Regardless, my passion is to work on video games, so however I achieve the goal is fine.

I joined this site because I saw the speed texturing competition released today via Ben Leary on Twitter.

i would like to learn how to create cool 3D characters and stuff like that.
i'm a big halo fan MASTER CHIEF FTW
and i suck at drawing i have no skills in drawing.
i would like to learn how to draw master chief....marcus fenix......mason from black ops etc...
but i draw like a 3 years old.
do you guys know how i can start with drawing and 3D arts? any books or online courses?
any tips and tricks?

Hi! My name is Jason. I'm a huge gamer and an even bigger game artist. I've graduated couple of years ago (a 3d game course) now I'm "wandering" this planet looking for ways to improve my skills, find employment and join all sorts of forum challenges .

I'm still waiting for my big breakthrough but I've been in and out of various indie/mod teams, so I guess I'm not a complete beginner.

It's nice to be part of this great forum and will be looking forward to getting to know everyone!
