My name is Alok i'm 24 years of age and i'm from India. I've been working on video games for almost 8 years now as a technical artist/level designer. I've worked on multiple titles on different consoles except for the Xbox and the 360. I have don't have a college degree or a diploma. I've just studied till my 10th grade. I do want to study video game development but the fees are to much for me. So i try to learn what ever I can from the internet. I'm well versed with 3dmax, photoshop, and multiple game engines. I also write music since its just a hobby.

Here is my blog, i don't update that much since i'm always in the office and i hardly get anytime to do my personal work.

Hello there everyone!

My name is Lucas Annunziata, I'm 21 years of age and I've been doing 3d modelling/texturing for games for a little over 2.5 years now. I was born and raised in a small town in Vermont. I have always been passionate about videogames and art as separate entities, so it was only natural that I start dabbling in the game art world.

I spent 8 months studying in Montreal last year, where I met FredH at the GameArtisans studio, which directly led to me entering both the dominance war V mini and main competitions. While both were a wonderful experience, it taught me that I am more interested in making environments than characters.

I was an assistant artist for Codename Games in LA this past summer. I've now returned to Burlington VT to finish up my last year of school at Champlain College. I am currently doing freelance work for Berserk Entertainment and Tale of Tales in my last semester here. I will be attending GDC this year, and will start applying for jobs as an environment or prop artist once my portfolio is up to par.

My name is Mark and I'm from the UK, and I have been working in 3D for a number of years, mainly in the Simulation industry, I have worked on many F1 sims in my time.

My name is Michael am from South Africa.
I have been playing games since I can remember and the thing that always stood out for me was the concept artwork that went into making the games. Seeing how games have moved from Space Invaders to Skyrim has been an adventure.
Until now I have just done 2D art, though I would like to move further into that as well as 3D.
I'm a noob and don't mind saying it.

Hello everyone!

My name is Mika, I'm currently going to a university in California for Game Design, and I'm an aspiring 3D Environment Artist.

For the last year or two I was determined that I wanted to be a Game Designer, but also over the last year or two I was becoming less and less interested in it. For the longest time I was never really into art because I was always told that you had to have a "gift" in order to be good at drawing, painting, etc. So after hearing that, I decided to go into the design side of game production.

Well now it's a new year and I have a new determination! This year I've completely decided that I want to focus on 3D Modeling! Last year I started to become really fascinated with game art and art in general which led to my decision to switch my focus. Yes, I suck at drawing, but I know that I can get better. No, I don't know what I'm doing when I open Maya, ZBrush, or UDK, but I still have time to learn.

Today I came on this forum to FINALLY post something! I think its about time for me to get started! It's finally time to get some great feedback and great critique from people who are going into the same field as I am instead of having people tell me that I won't get anywhere because I can't draw at the moment.

Overall I'm glad to finally be apart of this awesome community and I'm glad that I'm finally pursuing something that I've grown to love.
