Hi Guys,
I am Tomcraft and a friend of me brought me into this forum (zortech). I am 19 (20 in 3 weeks) and I live in Hannover, Germany, the same town where zortech lives. I am working as a texture artist and as a Level Designer for the Battlefield 2 world war II Mod "Battlegroup - Frontlines" (check www.bgfmod.com ). I am designing levels for about 5 years now (the whole Battlefield-Series, HL2, a bit Unreal and OFP) and I have a name in the german community, due to some work in famous BF-Mods. I started working with Photoshop 3 years ago, but never had the time to do proper work like wallpaper, websites or textures. But over the years I became more and more interested in it and im a fair texture artist now. I also designed a homepage, which sadly is not yet online, so I cant show it you (and after formatting my pc i lost the .psd files). I am working with Photoshop 6.0 (not up to date but it was cheap) and some Battlefield-only-Level Editors (Editor 42, BF-Editor etc..). Well enough said, now I cant wait to browse through the forums. ![]() and by the way: If anyone here has more interest for the Mod I am working for (either some infos or an application or whatever) he can off course send me a pm or an Instant Message (I have my details in profile) or just write down what he wants here, if its allowed by the moderators. Greetz, Tom ![]() |

We all came to the conclusion with next gen coming up it would be great time to get into the industry and come up with some fresh new ideas.

joo, I'm brecht, live in Belgium (in grimbergen) I'm 15 and I'm learning to model a little bit. I play soccer in my spare time and I play lots of FPS. Now I can model already a little, but I need to learn how to skin, otherwise my models look like shit.
BTW Nice site Found this site by a sig of somebody of mapcore I think (not registered overthere though) |

Hi, my name is Melissa. I'm 26 and from Michigan, USA. I found out about the site from a sig link on cgtalk. I finished school for computer graphics about a year ago and have been working on my portfolio and learning about the industry. My goal is to be working for a company (crosses fingers) by the end of the year. I'm a 3dsmax girl, but I know some Maya. It's great to meet you all. It's been great joining the modeling challenge too, thanks for starting that up.

Hello all. I'm a character artist working in Sheffield, UK. I've been working in games for 4 years. I trained myself in 3D as a hobby at first but then thought i'd try and get into the games industry and combine my hobbies! My first 3D package was Lightwave - I knocked up a reasonable portfolio and landed a job at Particle Systems which was a Lightwave studio at the time - a few months in it switched to Maya which was great as i'm always keen to learn/use new tools. I currently make high res game characters in... Softimage! Well a combination of that and ZBrush. Yes, the studio I moved to recently landed a project that required me to learn XSI.. So i'm learning again!
I hope to meet like minded artists on this site and get learning some more! Cheers, mkyboy PS I promise never to use the words learn or learning ever again in my posts ![]() |
