Ok, once I get some time (and if the mods approve ) I will start on making the rope and cloth requests. I don't really know how to do plastic (probably like metal but with a different spec map?) but I will give those a try also. Anyone who wants to help is more then welcome to

Well plastic and polymer is quite easy and yeah you start with a metal base and work your way up

pic 2:example of an easy made synthetic base

pic 1: quickly made polymer

when making a base like that you should try and keep it seamless. there were odd highlights around the edges of the 2 you posted.

Yeah I was going to make a few polymer, cloth and rope bases and run them through ImageSynth to get a seamless result. Probably going to make them all 1024x1024. Working on them now....

Here is a quick 1024x1024 polymer. Tiles well, let me know if anyone needs/wants any other colors, or sizes.

EDIT: added a sharpened version also.....

Rope:

(Anyone else want to try this? I tried to keep it flat but something doesn't look quite right, but depending on how close you'll get to the model using this, it will work fine.)

EDIT: This will tile horizontally, just offset it higher each time.
